The Night of the Halloween…

A friend once told me, “I will never work a night shift during Halloween again.” On the 31st of October that particular year, she was on an evening shift at Wendy’s, which extended into midnight. She had served many customers until a woman in a costume arrived, and the atmosphere suddenly changed. According to my friend, she felt goosebumps all over her body and, as a child of God, she began to pray and plead the blood of Jesus for protection. When she returned with the order, the woman became inexplicably furious, left without collecting her change and orders, and never returned.

Estrange spirits can recognize the spirit of God in the life of a true believer, leading to a clash of powers. The Bible says that at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every mouth shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

What manifests in the physical world is often settled in the spiritual realm. Unfortunately, many people take these occurrences lightly or ignore their significance.

This week, we must be cautious about who we allow into our hearts, homes, and the lives of our innocent children. We must be careful about who and what we consent to. If God has delivered us from the spirit of fear, why should we knowingly invite it in? When Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, why should we celebrate evil?

The Bible instructs us to train our children in the Lord’s way so they won’t depart from it in their old age. What are we planting in the hearts and lives of our children? Regardless of how innocent or harmless something may seem, we should not promote or partake in it if it goes against the ways of Christ.

As Jesus said, “Let the little children come unto me…” We should lead them to God’s embrace and not let them associate with what goes against His teachings. Let us surround ourselves with prayer, immerse our children in the protection of the blood of Jesus, and take refuge in the Rock of Ages instead of knowingly or unknowingly worshipping the enemy.
