The Past

The Past

Everyone got a past, pleasant and/or unpleasant. Yes, if we could go back to the past, we would do some things differently. But the reality is, the past is dead. We could only learn from it, rectify what could be rectified, and allow the past to rest in peace.

You don’t go to the burial ground to disturb the corpses, so you must let the past lay low in their graves. Visiting burial grounds does not end with rejoicing but sadness and depression. Dwelling in some past could be likewise depressing!

Let it go!

The past should make a better person out of us rather than being an instrument of obstruction to our today and tomorrow. No matter how hard or painful, let any afflicting past go. Embrace the better today for a brighter tomorrow.

The journey of life is unique to every individual. We meet with different bends on our journey. As we maneuver our bends and navigate our crossroads, we learn and grow. In fact, God spoke to this in the book of Isaiah 43:18 & 19, that we should

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert

Isaiah 43: 18,19

Let the afflicting past rest in peace! Reach out to the better version of you daily.

Stick to the “…I am the Lord that healeth thee“, Exodus 15:26 (KJV). He can fix anything.
