Mind Meant to Soar

Ordinarily, minds are never truly at rest. Every day, they are shaped—by the pain of yesterday, the disappointments of today, the challenges of the economy, the weight of injustice, the effort to build a brighter future, the struggle to excel in our work, the concerns of family, and even the hope of eternity. On top of this, we face a flood of information: fake news, half-truths, and constant noise. Without care, our minds can grow bitter, confused, or worn down.
That’s why discernment is vital. We must filter what we allow in, weigh every voice against truth, and refuse to let lies steer our thoughts. Renewing the mind through scripture, prayer, and wisdom protects us from deception. It trains us to recognize what is real, what is worth pursuing, and what should be set aside.
When the heart is surrendered to God, the mind is softened, strengthened, enlightened, and filled with purpose. It is no longer tossed about by every headline, rumor, or trend, but becomes anchored in truth. Such a mind knows what is worth fighting for, how to fight with wisdom, and how to walk in strategies that lead not to chaos but to peace and lasting success.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
- Roman 12:2
