From Redemption to Mission

Saved to stand for the salvation of others
“Of the 8.1 billion people in the world
1. 1/5 people do not have the Bible in their language
2. An estimate of about 42% have never heard about Jesus or Gospel
3. There are 430,000 Christian missionaries in the world today. Down from 1.1 million in 2001″ Past Conrad
As true believers in Christ, redeemed by His precious blood, how many souls have we led to Christ? How comfortable are we in sharing our faith with others? If this challenges us, we can start now—it is not too late. People still need the Lord, including those we avoid or overlook. This year, let us pray for a compassionate heart that sees every soul as Christ sees them.
Cultural implications and complications should never deter us from witnessing Christ to the world. There are people in our lives who desperately need Jesus. The mind of Christ is marked by compassion. Even when political powers opposed Him, He chose silence over retaliation or humiliation. Even when those He loved—whom He taught, healed, and performed miracles for—cried out, “Crucify Him,” His heart remained full of love. He never regretted His mission nor turned back from the plan of redemption. He endured humiliation and death to save them, which extends to our salvation today.
This year, let us fervently pray for the heart of Christ—a heart that is purged, compassionate, humble, dedicated, and soft. Let us stir ourselves to witness for Christ. The first step to victory is recognizing who our real enemy is.
Many believers might have condemned Saul before he had the chance to encounter Christ and transform into Paul, one of God’s greatest instruments. Mary Magdalene could have died in rejection and hopelessness had she not encountered Christ. The woman caught in the act of adultery would have been stoned to death by those who appeared religious but were also flawed by sin. The point is we can’t trash anyone. Every soul holds immense significance before its Creator.
We must never forget this truth. Our focus should align with what Christ prioritizes: the salvation of human souls. In our world, people belong to various walks of life—philanthropists, freedom fighters, soldiers, doctors, lawyers, businesspeople, and more—each fulfilling different purposes. However, for Christians, as transformed believers, our primary purpose is to proclaim the hope of eternal salvation. This message must be supported by the lives we live daily, reflecting Christ in everything we do.
When people genuinely meet the true Christ, their lives are transformed. Those transformed lives then lead others to salvation. Preaching the gospel is what Jesus died for—not fighting for Him. Christ knows how to fight His battles. Let us focus on being His witnesses, sharing His love and truth with the world.
The good news is that Christ has promised to be with us as we respond to His calling—we will never walk alone. As someone once said, “God’s work, done in God’s way, will never lack God’s supply.” Let us make this year different from the last by dedicating ourselves to winning souls for Christ.
