Jim Morrison said, “Whoever controls the media, controls the mind”. The honest question is: What do we actually allow to control our minds? What is it that informs our opinions, beliefs, and actions?
The mind is very powerful. Like the Digestive System, it will process whatever we feed it with. But there is something that l love about this digestive system, it breaks down food, assimilate useful substances, and excrete (discard) waste products. The nutritionists advise a healthy diet for a healthy life.
David Jesse, a wise and beloved King who had seen ups and downs of life, declared in Psalms 119:15-16: I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
A lawyer named Paul who, also became an Apostle, advised Christians at Phillipi to be careful about what they allow in their heart. Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
There are many factors out there competing with the love and grace of God in the life of believers. Allowing the words of God to control our minds will keep pushing us back to God and His way. A life shaped in God’s words is more peaceful and fulfilling than the one controlled by the media, feelings, society, people, achievement, pleasure, ambition, privileges, etc.
Only God’s words can properly straighten the crookedness in man. That is why it better to allow God’s words to be our mind controllers.

thanks Margaret for the message.
